Gingerbread Express delivers smiles

On December 16, the NEARI Children's Fund Gingerbread Express traveled to the D’Abate School in Providence for the 20th annual delivery of gifts to the entire student body. This delivery - coupled with hundreds of other gifts distributed to schools and families throughout the state - means that more than 2,000 needy students and their families will enjoy a better holiday season this year. South Kingstown High School students climbed on the Children’s Fund Gingerbread Express this fall to ensure a happy holiday season for 50 needy youngsters. The students helped purchase, collect, and wrap the gifts.
