NEARI will be holding a Teacher Evaluation Update and Workshop at the NEARI office from 5-7 tomorrow. The focus will be on the new evaluation system being designed by the Rhode Island Department of Education. Jay Walsh, North Kingstown teacher and NEARI's representative on the committee, will update where RIDE is in the process, what the system will ultimately look like and his major concerns as the system is developing.
Thirty-five members are already registered, but there is still room and time if you are interested. Please notify Cheryl Hawes at CHawes@nea.org by noon on Thursday if you plan on attending.
