Pension Bill to be presented Tomorrow at 4

Pension Update: 1. The Governor and Treasurer's bill will be presented tomorrow at 4 in the House Chambers. Despite what you read or heard on the news, the draft that was leaked is not the final version and reportedly has changes. The main concepts will be there however; hybrid system, raising the age and suspension of COLA's. 2. President Purtill has asked local presidents and some of their officers to attend at the State House tomorrow but NEARI will be working with other unions impacted for a huge turnout next week during one or both of the public hearings, probably next Wednesday and Thursday. 3. Starting tomorrow, we will be contacting you on a very regular basis to keep you informed as we move through the next two or three weeks prior to a vote by the legislature. 4. There is still time to contact the Governor and Treasurer and let your voice be heard!
