The Finance Committee's hearing on teacher, state and municipal pensions will be next Wednesday, October 26 at the State House, starting at 11 AM. It should last in to the evening and we encourage you to attend to show support and you may even want to share your own story how these drastic changes impact you.
The union coaltion, including NEARI, fighting for fair changes will be holding a rally later as the legislature comes back in to session or the day of the actual vote. Right now you can call your state reps and senators and tell them age 67 and the suspension of the COLA for up to two decades is unfair, hurts the econony and needs to be changed.
