After six months of testifying, lobbying, meetings, letters and phone calls, it all comes down to today. The House is scheduled to debate and vote on the budget at 2 pm. It could last several hours. At some point tonight or tomorrow I will update the blog with the result and send an email out to local presidents. (It is simple; just go to www.twitter.com, join for free, and follow Larry Purtill.)We will lobby right to the end against Article 7 and be supporting the five amendments (See an earlier blog posting) to make a bad situation a little better. We are also lobbying hard, as should you, for H5762 which would codify in to law what exists now, the continuation of a contract when a new agreement is not reached.
