CCRI President Meghan Hughes led the school administration to unilaterally impose a "J-Term" (condensed three-week January session) without consulting faculty in the planning phase nor bargaining with their union. After significant pushback, including the CCRI Faculty Association filing an unfair labor practice, Hughes suspended the planned J-Term for January 2018.
- CCRI faculty want to be involved in the planning process of any future J-Term design.
- CCRI faculty want Hughes to exclude developmental courses from condensed J-Term sessions because it robs the student of the learning opportunity they deserve.
Communication among administration, faculty and staff is a crucial component to student success. Sign this petition to tell Meghan Hughes: No developmental courses in condensed J-Term sessions and to include the faculty in the planning process!
