Are you a NEARI member on unpaid leave of longer than 90 days?
To remain eligible for your free NEA Dues Tab Insurance and other member benefits (including any legal representation) you must maintain a reserve membership with NEA, purchased through NEARI.
Membership can be purchased online.
K-12 Teacher; Higher Ed Professor, Graduate Student; or URI PSA members
If you are K-12 Teacher, Higher Education professor or graduate student, or are a member of URI PSA you should purchase a Professional Reserve Membership.
If you will be on unpaid leave before January 1 and will not return to work until after the membership year ends on August 31 or would not pay dues at all this year due to your leave, you should purchase a full year membership for $100.50.
If you will be on unpaid leave for half of the membership year or less, or you are going on unpaid leave after December 31, you should purchase a half year membership for $50.25
K-12 or Higher Education Support Professionals, State and Municipal Workers
If you are a K-12 or Higher Education Support Professional (such as a paraprofessional, a custodian, or a secretary) or are a State or Municipal worker, you should purchase an ESP Reserve Membership.
If you will be on unpaid leave before January 1 and will not return to work until after the membership year ends on August 31 or would not pay dues at all this year due to your leave, you should purchase a full year’s membership for $57.00.
If you will be on unpaid leave for half of the membership year or less, or you are going on unpaid leave after December 31, you should purchase a half year membership for $28.50
If you do return to work in the membership year, your reserve membership will be counted against the total membership dues you would’ve paid if you had not be on leave.
