Mark Levy, activist, Rhode Islander, and lifelong civil rights advocate, volunteered during Freedom Summer in 1964 while he was a college student, serving in Meridian, Mississippi.

Through his personal experiences and decades of work advancing civil rights, participants will gain insight into the struggles and successes of past movements while exploring how today's educators can continue the work of building more just and inclusive schools and communities.
