Supporting your Black students: An online book talk
Wednesday, May 1, 4:30-6:00pm via Zoom
Join NEARI member Dr. Kerri Ullucci, and Dr. Joi Spencer (Dean of the School of Education, University of California, Riverside) for an engaging virtual workshop on supporting Black youth.
Based on their book, Anti-Blackness at School: Creating Affirming Educational Spaces for African American Students, this session will help educational professionals see how anti-Blackness shows up in schools and will provide ways to uplift, protect and celebrate Black youth.
Open to everyone, of all experience levels, K-16. Attendees will receive a free copy of the book, and opportunities to discuss the book and ask questions of the authors will be included.
